While this isn’t my first go at blogging, my health is something that has been an all-encompassing focus pretty much my entire life. While I’ve bounced around being on and off track through the years, I’m finally at a point in my life where I know that I have to make some changes. To be successful, I believe that there has to be a level of accountability, both to yourself and to others. Holding yourself accountable to others, keeps you accountable to yourself. Enter YOLO on a Yoyo.
YOLO (You Only Live Once) on a Yoyo is all about the up and down of life all while taking care of you. Sure it’s easy to stay on a 30-day plan or do a week-long cleanse, but what happens after that? Your cheat day because you earned it turns into bad habits reemerging and the downward spirtal that will inevitably follow.
Am I an expert? Hell to the no. But I have spent my entire life trying pretty much every form of dieting, have done a ton of research, do a ton of reading on the topic, and I know what I need to do to be healthy – for ME. My goal with this blog is to share some real dialogue about these struggles and finding the right balance, and hopefully helping you to find yours in your own way. Balance being healthy with taking some time to indulge and enjoy! Making it about a lifestyle change and not a diet and feeling all of the restrictions that come with it.
I promise you that this will not just be another blog about weight struggles and getting to fit. It’s going to be about life, support, encouragement and empowerment! With a lot of fun stuff along the way. I only ask that you bear with me as I’m learning this space!
